Our CEO G.F. Galanzino has been elected Advisor of the World Biogas Association

The WBA was created in 2016 to support the development of the Biogas industry all over the world. Among the commitments undertaken by the members, supported also by giants of the sector such as SUEZ, ENGIE and SHV, a Declaration was made last year to reduce by 12% Global Gas emissions and the greenhouse effect by 2030.

The WBA is a non-profit organization with headquarters in London, which brings together companies, specialists, Public companies and Associations with the aim of promoting the development of biogas at a global level, considering it to be one of the resources to focus on in order to reach the sustainable development goals set by the United Nations in 2015.

The Association is a powerful signal sent out by the governments of the world to underline the importance of a precious and renewable energy source, to develop it by elaborating an integrated and informed approach to the treatment of organic waste.

The Global Biogas Council, made up of nine members coming from eight countries who will remain in office for three years, will be required to provide strategic guidance for the development of the biogas sector, as well as promoting new alliances and partnerships at a world level to support the spread of technologies linked to the extraction and use of renewable gas. Our CEO was elected together with Christopher Maloney, Global Head of Organics Division in Eisenmann (USA) and President of IBA (Integrated Business Alliance), the international partnership for renewable energies of which Entsorga and Eisenmann are founding members. The first meeting of the Council will be held online, at the end of May or at the beginning of June.

This is a prestigious recognition for our company which, through the voice of our CEO, will showcase Entsorga’s international experience in the sector of green technologies and renewable energies, as well as the point of view of Italy, one of the most advanced countries in the world for biogas production capacity.
