On July 14, 2019 Entsorga S.p.A. and Eisenmann Corporation entered a Cooperation Agreement granting to Entsorga exclusivity for the marketing of the Eisenmann Semi-Dry anaerobic digestion technology in Italy. Furthermore, Entsorga may use the same technology in other parts of the world on a non-exclusive basis.
With new regulations on Renewable Natural Gas coming into effect in Italy and with substantial incentives supporting the production of RNG from biological substrates and in particular from source separated organic waste, the medium-term potential for the Italian market is particularly appealing.
This agreement is an important addition to Entsorga’s technology portfolio (which also includes proprietary technologies for composting, wet anaerobic digestion, mechanical biological treatment for bio-stabilization of unsorted municipal waste and the production of alternative fuels) as it allows delivering ultra-low carbon advanced biofuels (RNG) from a number of additional types of feedstock.
Entsorga supports this cooperation with twenty years of experience on the Italian and international markets and by providing guaranteed turnkey process solutions including Entsorga’s patented pre-processing and post-processing steps, which are complementary to the Eisenmann Dry AD systems.
